Acupuncture

Acupuncture helps to treat imbalances in your body by inserting thin, sterile, disposable needles at specific points of your body. Because the points used for acupuncture are near nerves, the treatment helps to stimulate your nervous system. This triggers the release of chemicals from your brain, muscles, and spinal cord, and those chemicals help your body heal naturally. The positive health effects of acupuncture are well-documented and known to stem from the changes in hormones, neurotransmitters, and biochemicals in the body.

Moxibustion ( Chinese: 灸)

Moxibustion (Chinese: 灸; pinyin: jiǔ) is a traditional Chinese medicine therapy which consists of burning dried mugwort (wikt:moxa) on particular points on the body. It plays an important role in the traditional medical systems of China, Tibet, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, and Mongolia. Suppliers usually age the mugwort and grind it up to a fluff; practitioners burn the fluff or process it further into a cigar-shaped stick. They can use it indirectly, with acupuncture needles, or burn it on the patient's skin.

Moxibustion is promoted as a treatment for a wide variety of conditions.

Fire Cupping

Cupping is another option for our patients suffering from muscle tension and spasms, limited range of motion of the neck, back, and extremities, and chronic knots and trigger points. By releasing tight and overworked muscles, it can improve athletic performance and reduce pain. Cupping can also be used as part of your acupuncture treatment for certain conditions and symptoms.

Bloodletting (Hijama)

Bloodletting therapy also known as "acupuncture bloodletting therapy" is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves piercing or cutting the skin to release a small amount of blood from specific acupoints on the body. It can relieve swelling and pain, dispel wind and itching, and help with heat-related symptoms. However, it is not suitable for everyone and should only be performed by professionals. Bloodletting therapy can be used alone or in combination with cupping, and has shown to be effective in treating acne, joint pain, and other heat-related conditions.

Gua Sha

Gua sha (Chinese: 刮痧), or kerokan (in Indonesia), is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice in which a tool is used to scrape people's skin in order to produce light petechiae. Practitioners believe that gua sha releases unhealthy bodily matter from blood stasis within sore, tired, stiff or injured muscle areas to stimulate new oxygenated blood flow to the areas, thus promoting metabolic cell repair, regeneration, healing and recovery.

Gua sha is sometimes referred to as "scraping", "spooning" or "coining" by English speakers. The treatment has also been known by the French name, tribo-effleurage.

Pelvic Floor Biofeedback

Pelvic Floor Biofeedback therapy uses a biofeedback instrument to capture the pelvic floor muscle contraction signal and amplify the signal to contract the pelvic floor to achieve the purpose of exercising pelvic floor muscle contraction. Through repeated training, conditioned reflexes are formed. Pelvic floor biofeedback therapy is an auxiliary treatment for pelvic floor muscle function, which can repair pelvic floor muscles. Use rectal or vaginal probes to contract the vagina, prevent pelvic organ prolapse, and treat incontinence, constipation, endometrial thickening, etc.
